DENIS WICK-Tubamouthpiece -Ultra- 4386-AT1U, Ø 32.8mm, bore 9.53mm, gold-plated. AT1U is a very large funnel-shaped mouthpiece. The shank of this mouthpiece has been designed with the greatest care so that it is suitable for all tubes with the standard European mouthpiece holder. Original Meinl-Weston and B&S leadpipes were used in this process. The exact matching of mouthpiece and instrument leadpipe is crucial for the correct response of modern German tubas. This new mouthpiece by Aaron Tindall is the largest in the range and was developed for use with large CC or Bbb tubas. It has straight walls at the rim which lead to a very wide, funnel-shaped bowl with a large bore. The rim was designed by Warren Deck and is one of the most comfortable on the market. It offers just the right width and response to give the player a feeling of comfort and stability. This mouthpiece is for advanced players and produces a voluminous, deep sound.
