The Adams F5 flugelhorn is a wonderful combination of a vintage sound concept and the advances of modern technology. The instrument is very easy to play as the valves are fitted with a direct air column, resulting in a so-called \"straight flow\". This allows the leadpipe to be fed into the bell in a straight line, ensuring less resistance when playing. The valves of the F5 are short for easy, virtuoso playing and the instrument is very compact. The F5 is supplied with a full copper bell, which gives the instrument even more fullness and richness of sound. The copper bell with a diameter of 160 mm is hammered by Adams craftsmen from a single sheet of metal and has a wall thickness of 0.60. It is the only brass instrument that Adams makes from copper. A very soft material, which is also reflected in the sound. The F5 is supplied with a 10.5 mm ML bore as standard.
