This allows ergonomical and easy playing with excellent sound characteristics. The master models of Paetzold by Kunath instruments are made of birch plywood or cherry solid wood. Cherry wood is a lightweight wood that is popular in recorder manufacture. The weight of the instrument is it`s biggest advantage due to the low wood density of 0.63 g/cm3. The texture of the cherry wood gives the instrument a warm and mature sound qualities.
