In 1983, Juan José González founded the company Argenodonax S.R.L. together with his son, Juan Pablo, and the Argentine clarinetist Martin Tow. Their goal was to promote the cultivation of *Arundo donax* and supply cane material to renowned manufacturers worldwide. After years of research and development, Juan José González decided in 1995 to manufacture reeds under his own name. Since then, the GONZÁLEZ brand has steadily gained a reputation among professional musicians around the globe, thanks in no small part to the excellent quality of the wood.
