Many woodwind instruments have a reed (wood or plastic) attached to the underside of the mouthpiece. When the clarinet is blown, a sound is produced by the vibration of the reed. On the Clarinéo 2.0, this reed is made of durable plastic. Both the mouthpiece and this reed have a guide notch that makes it easy and child-friendly to insert the reed. As with all NUVO instruments, the NUVO Clarinéo 2.0 is built in the basic tuning of C. It is lighter and smaller than a Bb clarinet and has a full, mellow tone. You can play all notes of a C voice without transposing: Recorder, piano, flute or vocal notes. This makes it particularly suitable for basic, general music lessons.
