SILVERSTEIN-ligature -HEXA- for Bass-klarinette(bohemian system) SILVERSTEIN -ligatures- are well-established as a high-end ligature for both professionals and amateur musicians alike. The -HEXA- ligatures can be resized(+/- 1 size) with the standard 1.5mm hex wrench or by the Resizing Kit. This results in ultimate tonal control with increased resistance, and a warmer , uniformed tone throughout all registers. The -HEXA- ligatres are also well known for its strong tonal projection, and fast and precise response during register changes. This ligature is finished in a shiny mirror Champagne Gold finish made from fine 18K gold and is hand-built with Artisans. The sole purpose of the black rubber pads that are found at the bottom of the bridge piece is to prevent potential minor scratches to the mouthpiece. While these pads provide protection, they also absorb sound energy which can hinder the ligature from its maximum potential. If the minor scratch does not concern you, removing these black rubber pads is recommended for optimal performance. If you decide to use the pads, apply small amount of glue at the outside of each hole. Lastly this ligature comes with an omniCap, replaceable pads and a user manual with warranty registration card.
