SILVERSTEIN-ligature -Original- for Bb-clarinet(Boehm system), black Generation 5, Gen. 5 Silverstein ligatures are distinguished by a completely redesigned bridge. The rocking action of the bridge automatically achieves an optimal alignment with your mouthpiece. And, the elongated feet provide secure grip to prevent slipping, even when quickly changing mouthpieces. The direct contact of the bridge feet on the mouthpiece acts as resonance plates, which further integrates your setup for maximum and e?cient sound production. SILVERSTEIN -ligatures- are well-established as a high-end ligature for both professionals and amateur musician alike. The -Original- ligatures are resizable (+/- 1 size), and offers more harmonic partials and enhanced fine tuners. The sole purpose of the black rubber pads that are found at the bottom of the bridge piece is to prevent potential minor scratches to the mouthpiece. While these pads provide protection, they also absorb sound energy which can hinder the ligature from its maximum potential. If the minor scratch does not concern you, removing these black rubber pads is recommended for optimal performance. If you decide to use the pads, apply small amount of glue at the outside of each hole.
