SILVERSTEIN-ligature -CRYO 4- for Bb-tenor-saxophone, large SILVERSTEIN -ligatures- are well-established as a high-end ligature for both professionals and amateur musician alike. The -CRYO 4- ligatures are resizable (+/- 1 size), and offers a fuller, rounder sound and strong projection with fast response and enhanced harmonics. This ligature is finished in fine 16K gold-plating and is built with a improved material for better sound and projection. The sole purpose of the black rubber pads that are found at the bottom of the bridge piece is to prevent potential minor scratches to the mouthpiece. While these pads provide protection, they also absorb sound energy which can hinder the ligature from its maximum potential. If the minor scratch does not concern you, removing these black rubber pads is recommended for optimal performance. If you decide to use the pads, apply small amount of glue at the outside of each hole. Lastly this ligature comes with an omniCap, replaceable pads and a user manual with warranty registration card.
