COURTOIS Bb/F tenor trombone AC421BHRA -Création New York-, the Antoine Courtois tenor and bass trombones of the New York series were developed in collaboration with two outstanding U.S. orchestral trombonists: Paul Denson Pollard (bass trombone) and Weston Sprott (tenor trombone) are members of the renowned Metropolitan Opera in New York. Both trombones are further developments of the successful LEGEND models with additional new characteristic features such as specially developed leadpipes, bores and slides. The support attachment and mounting points have been repositioned in line with the acoustic requirements and a new and a new ergonomic hand rest has been added. For the first time in the history of Antoine Courtois, both models are available with a specially developed, removable screw-on cup. This initially allows for a significantly smaller and flatter case - the standard deluxe case is barely larger than a viola case and is contemporary and easy to travel with. In addition, the screw ring provides more mass and impresses with a more compact, focused sound with plenty of projection. Cylindrical bore: 13.89 mm, bell: hand-hammered and one-piece (Ø 215 mm) made of unscrewable gold brass. Slide: one-piece brass outer slide with tightened handpiece, brass slide bow, hard chrome-plated nickel silver inner slide. Valve: Hagmann valve system with progressive full bore /open wrap. Special features: ergonomic hand rest, removable. Equipment: specially designed flat deluxe case with cover and removable outer pocket, backpack carrying device and shoulder strap, mouthpiece, slide grease, oil and cleaning cloth
