When you want to play simply, Yamaha SILENT Brass™ lets you practice without disturbing others, play along to your favorite music, and share your recordings with the world. With the latest generation of Yamaha's unique Brass Resonance Modeling technology, the new Personal Studio™ STJ delivers even more realistic sound. The new Personal Studio connects you to the world. The Silent Brass Damper™ is a state-of-the-art pickup mute with integrated microphone. The new remarkably lightweight and compact Silent Brass Damper™ system reduces volume impressively. Intonation remains stable in all registers. The playing feel is excellent due to the optimal air flow and almost natural blowing resistance. Due to the new compact design, the complete mute fits into the bell and can therefore also be stored in the case. Brass Resonance Modeling™ is an original Yamaha technology that effectively cancels out the characteristic closed sound of a mute and reproduces the open, natural sound of the unmuted instrument. This reduces stress for the player, as they can practice and play freely without feeling restricted by the mute. The new improved Brass Resonance Modeling™ offers new reverb functions, they have the two options: ROOM or HALL. In these, the player can adjust the reverb and get the sound from a small practice room to a large concert hall. With the PLAYER & AUDIENCE mode, the new Personal Studio™ STJ offers two sound modes. The -Player- (PLY) mode allows the player to hear the natural sound of the instrument, while the -Audience- (AUD) mode provides the listener with a natural sound. In AUD mode, listeners hear the sound of the instrument being played in front of them, making it ideal for recording or online lessons. The STJ headphones with integrated microphone provide maximum comfort with minimal pressure on the ears, while allowing clear perception of ambient sounds. They have also been carefully tuned to reproduce the most natural sound possible. This new design also includes an integrated microphone to facilitate conversation during online classes. Connected to the world: When the Personal Studio™ STJ is connected to a computer or smart device via the included USB cable, it is possible to record at home or participate in online classes. No audio interface or complicated wiring is required. An adapter is required to connect to a smartphone. The Personal Studio™ STJ is not just a personal practice device, but a tool that allows the player to connect with the world from home. Rec-n-Share APP: The Personal Studio™ STJ can be connected to the free Rac-n-Share app for smart devices. This makes it possible to play along to audio stored on the device and capture the performance as an audio recording or video that can be shared online. Rac-n-Share includes a function that can change the playback tempo of the original music, an AB repeat function that repeats the playback of a specific A-B section, a function that can analyze the original music and add a corresponding click track, and other functions that make practicing more productive and enjoyable.
